Company Profile
Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) is a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, a global leader in automotive innovation headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Since 1980, when Mitsubishi acquired Chrysler's operations in Adelaide, we have proudly served Australian customers with a focus on reliable and innovative vehicle technology.
MMAL employs over 200 people across our offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney.
Our network of 200 dealers and service centers ensures that you are never far from your local Mitsubishi center – whether you want to purchase a new car or service your existing one.
We strive to combine Japanese precision with Australian ingenuity to deliver value to our customers and empower people and businesses to drive their ambition.
Legacy of Adventure
Adventure is part of the Australian DNA. More than an activity, it’s a mindset - an innate desire to try new things and take a chance, to push beyond the familiar into the unknown. Aspirational for all, adventure is central to our way of life.
Mitsubishi Motors has always built vehicles for adventure — from the Dakar-winning Pajero and World Rally-winning Lancer to today’s full range of adventure-ready vehicles.
Adventure is what differentiates us, which is why we’ve adopted it as our core vision – we drive Australians to be more adventurous.
Always Looking Forward
We launched i-MiEV – the first mass-produced electric vehicle – in 2009. In 2013 we launched the world’s first plug-in hybrid SUV the Outlander PHEV. For us, innovation never stops – that’s why we’re planning to expand our model range and introduce multiple electrified solutions by 2030.
Corporate Social Responsibility
MMAL is deeply committed to community engagement through our partnership with Disaster Relief Australia (DRA), a national volunteer organisation that mobilises veterans, emergency responders, and civilians in times of natural disaster. Since 2020, we’ve provided DRA with a fleet of 30 vehicles that have covered over one million kilometers across some of Australia’s most challenging terrains, supporting more than 200 communities in crisis. Our partnership with DRA underscores our belief that our vehicles should not only serve as a means of mobility but also as tools of resilience, uniting Australians and making a real impact when it’s needed most.
