What is a car warranty?
A car warranty is a promise from the car’s manufacturer to fix faulty parts or defects in your car for a specified period that have occurred as result of a manufacturing defect. Most new cars will come with some kind of warranty, but the details will depend on the manufacturer. Most car warranties have both a time and distance expiry.
While many people often think of a single car warranty, there are actually several warranties that are applicable to your car. The most common warranty to consider is a new car warranty, which covers the vehicle for defects in materials and workmanship for a set period or distance. We offer a standard Mitsubishi warranty of 5 years / 100,000km. On top of this, with the Mitsubishi Diamond Advantage, you can enjoy our Mitsubishi 10 year warranty, an extended warranty that lasts for up to 10 years / 200,000km, whichever occurs first⋄1.

What is roadside assistance?
Roadside assistance is a service that will help you get going again if your vehicle breaks down, or arrange for towing and a taxi if that isn’t possible. Mitsubishi’s roadside assistance will provide you with help if you get stuck 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Here’s what our Auto Club Roadside Assist & Membership covers you for:
- Mechanical breakdown repairs: Mechanical failures that disable your vehicle or make it unsafe to drive. Doesn’t cover damage from most collisions, accidents, or insurance related incidents.
- Non-mechanical incidents: Problems such as wheel or tyre damage, lockout or flat battery. Towing under these circumstances will be at driver's expense.
- Towing: Arrangements for towing to the nearest Mitsubishi Dealer or service facility of a local auto club if we can’t get your vehicle back on the road.
- Organising a taxi: If your car needs towing, we’ll organise a taxi for you and 3 passengers (up to $60 metro fare).
- Accident or vehicle theft assistance: Advice on what to do and who to call, as well as passing on messages to your insurer.
- Medical emergency assistance: Advice on what to do and who to call, and arranging special transportation if needed (your cost).
- Illness or injury while driving: Help getting to a doctor or hospital by providing advice or referrals.
We include a 12 month Auto Club Roadside Assist & Membership with all eligible new vehicles⋄9 as part of our Mitsubishi Diamond Advantage. You will then receive a further 12-month membership each time you have a scheduled service under our Mitsubishi Capped Price Service program for up to four years.
Where do car servicing and customer care fit in?
Every car needs to be serviced. At a car service, a mechanic inspects your car and replaces parts and lubricants as necessary. This helps make sure your car runs safely and lasts longer, with less stress on the components.
At Mitsubishi, we offer 10 year capped price servicing for all new eligible cars as part of our Diamond Advantage. This means your auto servicing will be performed by trained Mitsubishi technicians, using Genuine Parts, and all for a capped price. The capped price of your car service differs with your model and service interval, but it’s generally between $200 and $700.
